Hello Everyone:

This years conference in Nelson is fast approaching and it is shaping up to be quite interesting.  The theme for this conference is team work.  Your Executive has taken a slightly different approach to the pre conference workshop and key note speaker by attracting Ryan Walter a former NHL star who now provides workshops and inspirational talks on how to develop high performance teams.  Following an illustrious 15 year career as one of the premier stars of the NHL, Ryan Walter has gone on to gain notoriety as an International Keynote Speaker, Author, Television Broadcaster and Entrepreneur.  Ryan will be facilitating the pre-conference workshop titled “Leadership in Action; Exploring Leadership Excellence” on the development of high performance teams and leadership.  Due to the interest that many people, outside of Public Works, will share in the workshop it is being made available, for a small cost, any one who is interested in attending.  So, if you know of anyone else who may be interested in meeting and sharing experiences with Ryan Walter let them know that they will be eligible to attend the workshop. 

On another note, be forewarned the theme for this years MSA Dinner is Black & White.   This means you will need to wear either black or white or both otherwise you will be subjected to a fine, with all fines going to a worthy cause.
