PWABC 2003 TECHNICAL CONFERENCE
The 2003 PWABC Technical Conference will be held in Penticton, BC from September 16 to 19. It will be a Joint Conference and Trade Show with Washington State Chapter. This conference is designed to provide educational and networking opportunities for Public Works professionals from the Foreman through Manager level.
Full details of the Conference will be published in future issues of the BC ROADRUNNER. Highlights include a pre-conference workshop on Tuesday, technical papers Wednesday to Friday, Trade & Equipment Show, recreational opportunities and technical tours throughout.
This year there will be a early bird draw for those registered by July 31 and again a discount on registration fees for those registering before August 25, so plan to submit your registration early.

Roadrunner Classified Advertising Policy
From time to time, a municipality may find itself with a surplus piece of specialized equipment of potential use only to another municipality. Similarly, you may want to find another municipality that has a surplus piece of equipment that you would purchase. A way of advertising that targets municipalities, and particularly public works departments, would be useful.
The Roadrunner is prepared to provide advertising space to members in a column similar to this one. The fee will be $100 for a one column ad as long as the length is not excessive. Because the Roadrunner is published only three times per year, this advertising will be useful only for those ads that are not time critical. Normal publication dates are mid March, June and October. Deadlines are the first of each of those months.
