From the Editor October 2006

Jamie Umpleby - Editor

The fading light and colder mornings is a clear indicator that another year is coming to a close. It was nice to see all of you who were at this years conference in Qualicum. I’d like to congratulate Don Arlberg and his organizing committee for putting on a great show. I especially liked the dark haired hippie type (at least I think it was a man) who was directing traffic at the MSA banquet (don’t quit your day job Don).

Well it won’t be long till the days are shorter and the cold winter nights are upon us. I trust every one has their plows primed and ready to go and their sand/salt sheds full. Don’t forget to remind your employees to watch out for those little ones in these darker and shorter days.

This is my last Editors message and I would like to say it has been a pleasure working with the Executive and serving the membership. Your Executive is full of bright and enthusiastic Public Works representatives who are eager to improve the services provided and grow the membership, so give them all the support you can.

Its been a pleasure and I hope to see you in Victoria next year for the Annual Conference. All the best to each and everyone of you.
