TRAFFIC/TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER
The City of Nanaimo is seeking a Traffic/Transportation Engineer who will manage the Traffic/Transportation Engineering group by planning, establishing, controlling and monitoring policies and standards necessary to provide a safe and efficient Traffic/Transportation City Network. You will also direct and implement programs to facilitate the effective use of resources to ensure the achievement of short and long-term goals.
You possess a degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Traffic/Transportation Engineering, or the equivalent. Membership in APEGBC (P.Eng) and the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is required and you are eligible for a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (P.T.O.E.) certification. Expertise with related Civil Engineering computer application software is a must.
